What’s all the hype about? I bet you’ve heard of the infamous acai bowl and more than likely tried one. If you’re into superfoods, but have never tried a little purple bowl of cold deliciousness, that’s ok! I have the perfect recipe for you to lose your Acai Virginity.
Acai Bowls are one of those things that people love or hate. There is no in-between. I am partial to one on a sunny morning after the gym! They’re super refreshing as they contain a lot of fresh fruit, some nuts and seeds, and of course, some good ol’ coconut!
I love making them at home because I know 100% what I want to throw into them. They’re also convenient and can be changed up with different toppings or you can just keep them super simple.
Mon’s Acai Bowl
1 ½ cup Mixed Frozen Berries
3 Tbs Acai Powder
1 tsp Maca Powder
1 Tbs Vanilla Protein
½ Cup of Coconut Water
Handful of Goji Berries
Place all the ingredients into a NutriBullet or blender and mix it all up. Then, place the mixture into a bowl and finish off with your desired toppings. Enjoy.
